Team

Principal Al Tetrault has assembled a team of professionals who are dedicated to serving clients. Our team members bring consummate expertise to every project. And our small, flexible network helps us give clients the individual attention they deserve.

ALFRED R. TETRAULT, Principal

When Al founded Tetrault & Associates in 1993, he set out to build a consulting practice that offered clients unparalled technical services as well as a close, hands-on consulting relationship. Drawing on over 35 years of experience in real estate development, construction, financial analysis, urban planning, and public policy, Al has built Tetrault & Associates into one of the most respected development and planning consultancies in the country.

Prior to founding Tetrault & Associates, Al was a partner in Rouse & Associates’ Philadelphia-based Urban Housing Group. He has also held a number of positions with the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, including Director of Technical Services and Director of Program Monitoring and Evaluation. Al received a pair of degrees—a BSc and an MBA—in Real Estate and Urban Development from American University. He also has a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning, with a specialization in Housing and Historic Preservation, from the University of Virginia.

CHARLES BUKI, Associate

Charles Buki is the founding principal of czbLLC, a Virginia-based consulting practice specializing in neighborhood revitalization, market analysis, and problem deconstruction. A frequent collaborator of Tetrault & Associates, Charles’s work addresses the challenges facing housing and neighborhood groups in a wide range of different markets. Charles was a Mesa Refuge Fellow of the Common Counsel Foundation in California, and a Loeb Fellow in Advanced Environment Studies at Harvard University. He has a BA in History and a BSc in Economics from the University of North Carolina. He received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University, where he specialized in urban design.

HAL C. CRADDOCK, Associate

Hal is the president of Craddock-Cunningham Architectural Partners, a planning, architecture, and interior design firm. Based in Lynchburg, Virginia, Craddock-Cunningham has been a major force in the revitalization of the city’s downtown and riverfront. Hal is the managing partner of Bluffwalk Center, a $22.5 million hospitality development, currently under construction in Lynchburg. Throughout his 31 years with the firm, Hal has established himself as a civic leader and an advocate for high-quality planning and design throughout central Virginia.

In 2000, Craddock-Cunningham Architectural Partners was named “Small Business of the Year” by the Greater Lynchburg Chamber of Commerce. Hal cut his teeth as an urban planner in Brazil, where he served as a Peace Corps volunteer. He received both his Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
